Pincone on a Torrey pine tree at Torrey Pines Extension, a little-known add-on the the main Torrey Pines State Reserve. The extension is north of the main park, on the south edge of Del Mar, and is much less visited than the main park - not publicised, and less over-used.

This is Torrey Pines Headland, with La Jolla peeking out in the background. It was raining gently, creating a hazy look. That's highway 101 heading up Torrey Pines Grade (to the left in the photo), a climb well known to bicylists in the area.
